Household appliances large and small were on display at this year’s consumer electronic show in Las Vegas which ended last week.  And while there were a plethora of smart appliances that were truly innovative, there were a few that caught our eye. One in particular, was Samsung’s new washer which includes a built-in sink for pre-washing your clothes.

Samsung’s Activewash washer is the first washing machine by Samsung to utilize their new “SuperSpeed” technology which allows you to wash a full load of laundry in just 36 minutes. The Activewash washer is a top-load, rear control, unit which opens up to a sink complete with a water jet and scrubbing service to make pre-washing your clothes a breeze.  The built-in sink is also great for hand-washing delicates, or pre-treating items with difficult stains.

Most Cincinnati homes do not include a sink in their laundry room, so we’re expecting to start seeing this unit across the area soon. The Activewash washer is due to be released this spring and will come in 4.8 and 5.2 cubic foot white models, and a 5.2 cubic foot platinum model.
